Do Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Schools Offer Tuition Assistance?

The answer is "YES!” The Catholic Education Foundation, the Archdiocese of Louisville and our funding partners are growing to meet the needs of families who cannot afford the full cost of educating their children in a Catholic elementary school.

October 15th

FACTS management application available online for elementary schools. For high school students, please be sure to get your FACTS management application link from your high school.

November 30th

Completed FACTS Management forms with a small fee and required documents must be submitted for elementary school tuition assistance. Each high school sets its own deadline for tuition assistance applications, so please be sure to check with the school regarding the deadline.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have children in both elementary and high school, it is important to apply by November 30 of each year, so that all of your children are on ONE form. This will ensure that the determination of need for your family is complete.

March 1st

Who can apply?

All families with one or more children enrolled in or applying to a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Louisville. Parents with elementary school students will apply online through FACTS management, which will be processing the 2024-2025 tuition assistance applications for the CEF.

Most high schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville provide their own tuition assistance funding. To apply for tuition assistance at one of our high schools, please contact your child’s school directly for the FACTS management application.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have children in both elementary and high school, families must complete ONE online application for all their children, regardless of whether they attend one or multiple schools. Applications must be submitted through the web link provided by your high school by the high school deadline to be considered in the first round of applications. This will ensure that the determination of need for your family is complete.

When do I apply?

Tuition assistance applications should be submitted between October 15 and November 30 of each year. Applications submitted by new school families after November 30 will be accepted and processed in the normal course.

How do I apply?

A single form, the FACTS management application, will be used for all forms of Catholic elementary school tuition assistance. The online application process for the following school year opens on October 15 and is available on the Catholic Education Foundation’s website, www.ceflou.org. When submitting your application for the following school year, you must submit your 2023 federal income tax return and 2023 W-2 information.

Do I apply every year?

Yes, you must apply for tuition assistance each year for both elementary and high schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville.

When will I know if I have been granted tuition assistance?

Tuition assistance award notifications will be issued to all elementary school families no later than March 1 of each year.

High schools will issue their tuition assistance award notifications no later than the first week of March.

Additional Information

Completed applications received by November 30 will participate in the initial grant awards. A smaller amount of tuition assistance may be available for forms submitted after that date.

Complete only one FACTS application for your family, including all students in the family (elementary and high school) on the same form. FACTS will send a need evaluation to all funding sources for which each family could qualify as well as the schools you have listed on the form.

Last year, students received more than $13 million dollars in tuition assistance to attend one of the nine high schools within the Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic Schools. Our secondary schools are dedicated to making their exceptional education and faith-based community accessible to all families, regardless of their income level. While this tuition assistance total includes contributions from the Archdiocese and the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF), most funding is provided by the high schools themselves.
